📢 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT for Watson Chapel Families! 📚📵 Starting this upcoming school year, Watson Chapel School District will be implementing Act 122 – "Bell to Bell, No Cell" as part of Arkansas state law. 🔔 What this means: Students will not be allowed to access personal electronic devices (such as cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, etc.) during the instructional day – from the first bell to the last bell. ✅ Why? To promote better focus, fewer distractions, and greater academic success for all students. This change supports a learning environment where everyone can thrive! 💡 Parents, we encourage you to talk with your child about this policy and help ensure they’re prepared. More details will be shared before the first day of school. Let’s work together for a successful, distraction-free year! 🐾

A message from WCJH - The 8th grade promotion ceremony will be held on Friday, May 30 in the high school auditorium. The time has been changed to 1:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

On Friday, May 23rd, Watson Chapel JROTC participated in the recognition of the 55th Anniversary of the Black Pilots Association. The event was held at Grider Field.

School is dismissed on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day.

Watson Chapel Junior High 2025 6th and 7th Grade Awards Ceremony will be held Friday, May 23rd. It will be held in the Junior HIgh Cafeteria, 9:00 - 10:00 for 6th grade and 10:05 - 11:05 for 7th grade. This is by invitation only. If your student is receiving an award there will be an invitation sent home today or tomorrow. Please ask your student for it. We look forward to sharing this special event with you and your student.

Watson Chapel is proud to announce that Takela Moreland has been selected as the district Teacher of the Year!! She will represent the district as our candidate for the Arkansas TOY competition. Congratulations!! Pictured is Mrs. Moreland with the board as well as all the campus Teachers of the Year (Moreland, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Thomas, and Mrs. Williams).

WCJH PTO sponsored sweet treats to celebrate our dedicated educators during Teacher Appreciation Week by giving out personalized candy apples and donuts! They also made a special trip to the Explore STEM Academy to honor our teachers there as well. Thank you for recognizing their hard work and commitment to our students!

This week is also Nurse Appreciation Week and Watson Chapel has the best! Tonya Sterling, Stephanie Simmons, and Lakiska Reeves, led by Kim Williams, go above and beyond every day to keep our students healthy at school.
