WC JROTC participated in the Malvern Drill Meet on Saturday, January 18, 2025 and won several awards!
2nd place in Unarmed, 1st place in Armed, 1st place Female, 5th place Male, 4th place CoEd, 1st place in 4 Man Push Up, and Overall Champion for the team. Way to go!!

Our goals include increasing daily reading for all K-12 students as well as WCSD staff and building a culture of reading for all stakeholders. We will accomplish these goals through community partnerships, volunteer readers, etc. More detailed information is forthcoming so be on the lookout to sign up to read to students at Edgewood Elementary!
Due to an overwhelming response, we have extended the deadline for Watson Chapel Junior High Beta Club dues to Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Students can submit their fees to Miss Lancelin during WIN time or to their science teacher. We are currently arranging a new date for the induction ceremony and will inform you once it is confirmed. Watson Chapel School District will hold a board meeting Monday January 13, 2025 at 6:00 pm, located 4100 Camden Rd., Pine Bluff AR.

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students and staff, all Watson Chapel Schools will close Thursday, January 9, 2025. Schools will remain closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. All after school activities and events for Thursday and Friday are canceled. Further information on school opening for Monday, January 13, 2025 will be forthcoming this weekend.

If your child received an invitation to join Junior High Beta Club, the deadline for fees has been extended to Monday, January 13th. This will be the final day fees will be collected. Scholars may bring their fees during WIN time to receive a receipt.

WCSD is hosting a food basket giveaway on Monday, December 23 at the WCJH parking lot from 9 am - 12 pm. Baskets will contain meat, sides, and canned goods and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents can drive up, pop the trunk, & volunteers will load your vehicle.

WCJH hosted a Glow Ball on December 13 to celebrate students who did well on the ATLAS Interim Assessment! Congratulations!
