WCJH Beta Club is excited to present Black History Spirit Week, happening February 24-28, 2025! We encourage all students to participate and celebrate Black history with us by dressing according to the daily themes:

🔴 Monday – Black Pride Day
Wear Pan-African colors (red, green, yellow) or African attire.
🎭 Tuesday – Black Historical Icon Day
Dress as a Black historical figure or wear a Black historical figure shirt.
🏛 Wednesday – HBCU/College Day
Represent an HBCU or any college/university by wearing their gear.
🎶 Thursday – Throwback Thursday
Dress in fashion from the 70s, 80s, or 90s.

Watson Chapel Schools will resume normal operations on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Our away makeup games against Crossett (11:00 am) and Star City (5:30 pm) will be played Saturday, February 22. Stay safe and warm!
Watson Chapel Junior High will be conducting Scoliosis screenings the week of February 24th - 28th. All 6th and 8th grade girls and 8th grade boys will be screened. If you do not want your student screened please send a note to the school nurse, Ms. Reeves.
Watson Chapel High School JROTC competed in the Fort Smith Grizzly State Drill championship along with 22 other JROTC High schools for Armed and Unarmed Regulation, color guard, exhibitions drill.

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, families, and staff, all Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, February 18 will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 27 afterschool. Time: TBA We will continue to follow our early release schedule for today with elementary students dismissing at 1:00 pm and secondary students dismissing at 1:15 pm today.
All after school activities, including the basketball game at Crossett, have been canceled as well. Further information on school opening for Wednesday, February 19 will be forthcoming. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Stay safe!

Watson Chapel School District is actively monitoring weather forecasts, with winter conditions anticipated Tuesday and Wednesday. No decision has been made yet but in the event of a closure or early release, notifications will be sent promptly through texts, district website and social media, and local news stations. School is dismissed in observance of President's Day on Monday, February 17.

WCJH Student Council Association is having a food fundraiser on Friday, February 14th during student's lunch period. They will be selling Walking Nachos, Hot Dogs, Hot Dogs with Cheese , Chips, and Drinks. Prices range from $3.00 to $1.00.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for February 18 from 2-7 pm. Students will be dismissed early.

Congratulations to the Watson Chapel Junior High students who were inducted into the Jr. High BETA. The induction ceremony was held on Friday, January 7th in the High School Auditorium.

He shared our mission and vision for the future of our district and community and encouraged more local business leaders to engage and volunteer within our school. To provide important details and answer any questions, we will hold a parent Zoom meeting on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The Zoom link will be sent out closer to the meeting date.
A reminder for students:
The inductee’s attire for the ceremony is “dress for success” or “Sunday best.” Please ensure that your student adheres to the following guidelines:
No jeans
No Crocs
No pajamas
No mesh or sheer fabric
No tennis shoes
All honorees are expected to follow the dress code to reflect the formality and significance of the occasion.
